Jessalyn Gilsig has signed on to reprise her role as Claire's mother in the upcoming season 3 of the hit show "Heroes." I'd like to think of it as season two of "Heroes" because the real season two of "Heroes" was about as watchable as my Uncle deal with a hemorrhoid.
The next season starts in September. Get ready!
Jessalyn's horror turn "Prom Night" sure didn't win any box office awards, but do horror flicks ever? It's still in theatres you know. Why waste your time with movies about men in iron suits or chasing after crystal thingamabobs when you could see Jessalyn scream her heart out?! Or you could always do a triple feature on the sly.
Don't tell anyone at the movie theatre I told you that! I don't want my phones tapped.
Here is the trailer to get you pumped.
Because Jessalyn is joining the cast of CSI:NY! She will join the always intriguing Gary "Lt. Dan" Sinese in the hourlong procedural drama at the end of the season. Let's program our tivos now!
Here is a 2001 interview between Jessalyn and Craig Kilborn. For you eight year olds who read this sight, Craig Kilborn was a late night talk show host that got his start on the Daily Show before John Stewart. He was funny! Geeze, I wonder what he is up to now. Enjoy the interview. She looks fabulous.
I always knew Jessalyn had a slight Jamie Lee Curtis vibe. Ok, so I didn't but someone out there in Hollywoodland did because she just landed the role originally made famous by Jamie Lee in her 80s horror flick "Prom Night". There is no trailer for the new version yet but I happen to have a trailer for the original laying around my hard drive so here it is:
Well, this can't be any worse than my actual prom night, which had me alone drinking maddog 20/20 and watching a Jay Leno "best of" compilation. It was very short. The movie comes out on April 11th 2008. Jessalyn is really on a role!
Jessalyn is finally back on television! No, I'm not counting brief guesting stints in both "Heroes" and "Nip/Tuck". This is her own show folks. This promises to bring back the giggly carefree days when we'd all crowd around our televisions waiting for "Boston Public" to start. Sigh. Such promise. Such life.
Anyway, it's gonna be on NBC and is called "Backyards and Bullets". It seems to be about a neighborhood watch gone wrong and clashing with local law enforcement. I'm not entirely sure how that can be a weekly series but I'm sure they'll make it work. It's written by the guy who wrote "The Santa Clause 2" for God's sake! If he could make
that work(and boy did it ever work) then he can make this work.
The show comes on as a midseason replacement. Look for it in January. For now, a beautiful photo of our lady. Congrats JG:
